Late in 2010 I was contacted by the lovely Maria Haverly from Isabella Weddings who put me in touch with Paul & Claire, due to get married this August, and who would be having their reception at the beautiful Hill Place.

A Georgian country villa nr Swanmore in Hampshire, Hill Place is the home of Will & Rebecca Dobson, who have turned this old tired family home in to a stunning venue for weddings and private events, thanks partly to Ruth Watson fron Channel 4′s Country House Rescue.

Having met Paul & Claire and discussed their plans for the big day, we had a bit of a wander around Hill Place to see how all the hard work restoring the house was paying off. I think you’ll agree from the photos below that by the time the wedding came around in August, the house had been given a truly stunning restoration by Will & Rebecca, and was a truly fitting venue for such a gorgeous wedding day.

Photographing this wedding was such great fun, following our hilarious afternoon shooting their engagement photos in Sainsbury’s in Farlington, where Paul & Claire first met several years ago. (Photos to follow!). With a VW Camper Van, a hilarious polaroid wall, a perfectly rescued country house and even a double rainbow, this is one wedding I won’t forget for a while!
