The Lost Prophets rolled up in their tour bus to Southampton Guildhall last week for a long overdue visit, and they had plenty of fans more than happy to see them.
I was there on behalf of the Guildhall as usual, although I was expecting the pit to be a little busier with photographers (maybe they heard about the shockingly bad lights!), and in total just three photographers were there to capture Welsh rockers Ian Watkins & Co, complete with megaphone, in their full glory.
I’m sure their adoring fanbase had an amazing time. The band rocked out all of their best known songs and got a great reception. Shooting a lively rock band in almost total silhouette is pretty tricky, but you have to crack on, and I’m pretty happy with this set of images.
No doubt the fans will be hoping to see them back on the South Coast in the near future. If the band bring a few more lights next time, then maybe a few more photographers might hope they come back again too.
If you have a moment, please leave a comment or two below as usual. Thanks!

I like these, you get a great feel of the energy from the show!
Great set of images Antony, especially like the shots with the megaphone. I remember seeing Lost Prophets all over when they first started out because my friend was a promoter. Doubt I’d get anywhere near now!
P
The Images are not bad. Considering that the lighting was really poor and also most of the times Lost Prophets gigs are usually full to capacity to the point that photographers have a hard time taking pictures, I’d say you actually did a pretty good job.
Great stuff, love the energy in the images. Fab processing, too.
Thanks for the comments guys! Much appreciated.
