Here is a sneak peek, and my favourite shot, from a recent family shoot in our West End studio, when this gorgeous and very inquisitive 2 week old girl was the star of the show. I love this shot of her resting on her dad’s arm, the striking tattoos contrasting her tiny little body and pure skin.

Wow! After a crazy 2011, January has flown by just as quickly, and here we are about to enter February 2012. To start the new month with a bang, we’ve made a special little video to help keep us on our toes and give our customers a little something to whet the appetite before they come in for their very own photoshoot!

Having spent a long time creating slideshows for recent wedding couples, I thought I should probably create one for my own work, so here it is! I’ve combined a selection of shots from weddings in 2010 (and a few from 2009), taking you from the wedding preparation through the ceremony, pausing with the brides and grooms for a while, before ending with the reception and the final dance.
They may not all be the best shots I’ve taken, but they tell a brief story of each wedding day that I was proud to be a part of.

I met up with Helen & Dennis a few weeks ago to discuss the final plans for their wedding, and to have a quick ‘pre-wedding’ shoot around Old Southampton. With two self-confessed camera-phobes, I thought I was in for a tough time, but seeing the shots below I can’t wait for the wedding. They were great fun to photograph, and we pretty much laughed our way round the old walls.
The wedding is going to be a really amazing mixture of cultures. Dennis is from Hong Kong and helps to coordinate many of the Chinese New Year celebrations in Southampton each year, including the fantastic traditional Lion Dances, at least one of which will be taking place outside the wedding venue; 800 year old Beaulieu Domus! Add to that his passion for cars, and we may even see a few F1 racing cars from the Motor Museum sneaking into the photos! Helen – what have you let yourself in for?
Anyway, that’s all to come next month, but for now here’s a few shots from our walk around the walls.
